“ My volunteer fire relief group got lunch from here one day, and it was delicious. Not sure what it was, but the flavors were on point and it traveled well. Plus, generous portions of edamame. The staff is super helpful and friendly as well. Highly recommend! ”
“ We ordered Uber Eats and it was still amazing, so this review should tell you a lot. We got the Rick James roll, the Tiger King roll, the edamame, and the karage chicken. Both of the rolls were absolutely delicious and some of the best specialty rolls I've had in LA. The edamame was different, it was warm and smoky with the chili garlic salt but not spicy IMO. The chicken was just OK in comparison as the sushi stole the show. The delivery was quick (as we are not far) and the food was packaged very nicely. ”
“ Let me tell you, Wabi on Rose isn't just a restaurant--it's a full-on experience. From the moment you step into its effortlessly chic vibe, you know you're in for something special. The crispy tuna rice? Perfection. The golden crunch paired with the melt-in-your-mouth tuna is nothing short of seductive. Add a drizzle of spicy sauce, and it's a little bite of heaven that kept me coming back for more. We started with chili garlic edamame, and let's just say it wasn't your average appetizer. Perfectly blistered with a hint of heat, it was the kind of dish that lingers in your memory long after the last pod is gone. Pair that with their comforting miso soup, rich with umami and exactly what you need to balance the bold flavors of the night. Now, let's talk drinks. The Japanese Old Fashioned was the star of the evening--a sultry twist on a classic, with notes of whisky, yuzu, and subtle sweetness. It's the kind of cocktail that feels like a love letter to your taste buds. The cherry on top? Sharing it all with a group of amazing friends in a setting that's intimate yet lively, stylish yet unpretentious. Wabi on Rose is where unforgettable nights are made--flawless food, impeccable drinks, and a vibe that just hits different. Five stars for an evening I can't wait to recreate. Whether it's date night, girls' night, or just because--you need to be here. Cheers! ”
“ Made a reservation for a table here not knowing what to expect, and wow was I impressed! Not only is it a just restaurant, but the atmosphere of the whole place is so lively! I would say it is a restaurant/bar type of vibe, so if you're looking for a fun night out along with a delicious dinner this is the spot. You can come here to sit down and eat, or you can just come for drinks to enjoy the music and good vibes. We tried a few of the dishes because the menu was just irresistible. I was a bit worried at first since I am not a huge fan of fish and this is a sushi restaurant, but there were soo many options. The Crispy Rice was full of flavor, the Broccolini was seasoned perfectly, and the Chicken Karaage was also so crunchy in the best way. But the Spicy Wagyu Dumplings and Skirt Steak Skewers is what really won my heart. The Skewers were bursting with flavor and I was blown away, highly recommended! There is also a beautiful outdoor seating area with a nice ambiance, and the cocktails are tasty as well. ”
“ Wow had a splendid time! The food was actually really good! The crispy rice was probably the least favorite dish and that's saying a lot!!! Started off with oysters (juicy, fresh, great) 8/10 Crispy rice 6/10 Yellow special: 9/10 Baked crab Handroll: 9/10 Wagyu dumplings 9/10 *** pro tip save the chili oil/ gochujang and dip those baked crab handrolls makes it a 10/10 We ordered all the snappers and Japanese snapper was our favorite. Ordered all the belly's too and that was great. Uni was too oceanic tasting that day Bluefin and toro was aite. We ordered a bunch of stuff and the quality was good! I definitely will be back to try others. Service was slow in the beginning but I think it's because we were hangry. Our server had the entire outside section so I'm sure he was busy. He was personable by the middle of our meal. I liked how he paced out the food! Thank you! I hate when all the food comes at once. Huge pet peeve The heaters outside are a nice touch, booths are comfy and isolated which I like! Pretty cool date night or girls night! Had a great time ”
“ Wabi on Rose is a wonderful space. I love all the decor. I love the patio with all the greenery. It was super cute, nicely put together and very thoughtful. A really great place to just sit down relax and have a nice meal with friends. The service and food were both wonderful. Our server was so sweet and super attentive and took great care of us. I would definitely recommend this place and I will definitely come back. We just shared a few things for cucumbers. We all had a miso soup because it was really good. We tried the crispy rice spicy tuna and shared a few other rolls. We also had the asparagus and that was a big winner. If you've been thinking about the spot, definitely check it out. ”
“ After years of living here, I finally tried Wabi, and it was such a delightful surprise! This place has a serene vibe and fantastic service. We tried different rolls like the Philadelphia, California, and the Criss-Cross Lemon Sauce roll, which our waiter recommended--it was perfectly spicy and unique. The outdoor dining area, a perfect setting for a memorable night out with friends, adds to the value of the experience. While Wabi may be considered a bit pricey, the quality of the food and service justifies every penny. Each sushi plate is delicious. The ambiance is delightful, and the sushi is probably the best in the area. It's also a haven for those seeking a combination of refreshing drinks and delectable sushi. I'm eagerly looking forward to my next visit to explore more of their offerings! ”
“ Came to Wabi for Sunday dinner with some friends; we made a reservation at 7:30pm and were promptly seated. The vibe is cutesy and very brunch-esque, which I kind of love for a sushi spot. Very LA. Service was good - our waiter was friendly and checked in on us intermittently and the food came out relatively quickly. Wabi is a little pricier, but the quality is lovely - the very important food breakdown is below. What we ordered: - Crispy Rice: This was made hot & fresh out the kitchen. Cute app, but have definitely had better/experienced more flavor elsewhere. - Broccolini: Comes in a smaller portion but was SO good. Not overly oily & perfectly seasoned. - Puck You!!! Roll: Delicious - I recommend this one. Spicy yellowtail, Thai Basil & Yuzu?! Say less. - Moonlight Rain: This one was actually my absolute favorite. Presentation on one THOU and flavor was perfectly balanced. Highly recommend. - Criss-Cross Lemon Sauce: Solid roll. I usually gravitate toward any roll that has lemon slices, but I will say I have had better lemon-integrated rolls at other spots. I ordered a Wabi Spicy-Rita with mezcal and it was delicious! If this is any indication of how good the rest of their drinks are, I would give it a 5/5. ”
